A Riva La Machina

2011 Edition

“A riva la machina! A riva la machina!”

“Arriva la macchina! Arriva la macchina!”

In the middle of the last century this was the amazed, anxious and full of wonder that echoed on our farms and announced and accompanied the arrival of the machine to be threshed.

Especially on the hills the "machina da batar", accompanied by the deafening noise of the hot-head tractors, was the first and only machine that reached these isolated farms, pioneers of the powerful and irrepressible technological change that would have marked the last century, the '900.

Century of contradictions, full of yearning for peace and great wars of unprecedented violence on man and nature.

Century fascinating for his inventions and the resulting acceleration to the frantic pace of modern life:

the discovery of the atom, the more and more sophisticated use of the machines, the invention of radio, television and communications in general.

Never in human history has had such a bully acceleration in the change of daily life: electricity, telephony and communications, facilitated by machines work, robotics, ...

Every discovery has a history, an evolution, a change.

The passion and enthusiasm of some collectors now allows us to enjoy, not to forget, the initial story, exciting, different objects forgotten by many and most certainly unknown and indecipherable.
