The Most Famous Cryptic Machine in the World

Enigma was an electromechanical cipher (and deciphering) machine at the service of the German army.

Its ease of use and its indecipherable were the major reasons for its widespread use.

Despite the efforts of the bravest scientists, we remember the contribution of Alan Turing and special deciphering machines he designed, made vain by the algorithm of encryption to the unimaginable time, and would not be able to try out the high number of keys in time.

(Actually they felt surprisingly a restricted set, so it was possible that sometimes the decryption happen) the cipher was only penetrated by the British after the recovery of a specimen from a German submarine.

The reading of the information contained in the messages from that moment no longer protected led to the conclusion of World War II with at least one year in advance.
